Exercise Snoozestar V

The highly anticipated simulated terror attacks on Singapore's rail and transport system was held on Sunday, 8 Jan at 0630 in the morning.

Newflash: I was in bed at 0630 on Sunday morning, just like 99% of my fellow Singaporeans.

What was the point of holding the largest ever drill involving the least possible number of commuters? To inconvenience as few people and businesses as possible I suppose?

It was kind of an anti climax if you ask me.

Can you imagine the hold up and delay its going to cause if it was held on a working day at 0800-0900? Not to mention the amount of complaint letters the Gov is going receive after the exercise if it was held at peak periods.

But I agree. Its pointless to hold an exercise of tat magnitude when the most important factor that contributes to 'magnitude' of the exercise is the human factor (or lack of it in this case).

of course not on a weekday, that would be 'disastrous' for business... the country losing out on half a day's work is no joke,

perhaps later on in the day would be better... but on a weekend of course..
